today was one of those days where gradually everything went wrong, and the day just got worse and worse, until it all climaxed in an emotional breakdown that really had nothing to do with the day's events

Holy Crap Robin, I went through the same thing last year. But the difference is i had my father breathing down my neck about everything. I am still unsure about the one i have, but i promise it will come to you and you will find what you want to do. heck you might even change it few times and still go back to being what you started out being. i swear i thought high school put a lot of pressure on you, heck no i swear college is where everyone lose their mind at least once or twice before they graduate. But its great to hear that your family supports you in whatever you go into. I wish i had that.
I love you, remember if you ever need a break from life you should just pop in a great chick flick movie, it always helps me get away for just a little while.
I hope everything is going well other then that. Just remember to think about you and what you want, not what you think people want you to want. Do it for yourself.
