I believe the young man who brought them aboard is trying to find ways of containing and getting rid of them without actually hurting the things, if that is at all possible.

That may not be an option at this point. They are well out of control, and with each passing moment, consume more of our food supply.

None whatsoever, I fear. Miss Grants seems to be organizing our strategy for fighting them, and she has a closer tie to the captain than I. I shall await word, and, in the meantime, keep the infernal pests out of 221. I have turned all three rooms upside-down -- I do hope you don't mind, doctor -- and I believe I have secured our quarters, at least for the moment.
