Fortunately, I have secured the more dangerous of my chemicals to prevent spilling and invasion by these....creatures.
Unfortunately, several consumed a dose of methyl iodide before I was able to seal it away. This produced a strange effect: they did not die immediately, but after bearing their brood, died along with their offspring. I believe them to be dead, at any rate: they are completely unresponsive. Likely, the iodomethane's carcinogenic properties were passed from parent to offspring, indicating that they were pregnant at the time of consumption.
Perhaps a poison is the key to ending this infernal infestation?
