Oh and Some Art
OH YEAH. I've been working on stuff. If you follow me on twitter, you've already seen progress of this and what not.. but I forget to post stuff here anymore (I still read daily though!)
So I was asked by the wonderful Con*Tact Caffeine to do a label for one of their new products! It's a tropical scented item, so they asked me to draw a jackalope on a beach with a drink in his hand. Here's what I've got so far, but I could use some help deciding on something. I originally drew him with pawpads.. only to be told that rabbits don't have pawpads haha. Sooo I changed his feet to be more bunny-like, but I can't decide if I should keep the bottoms the same color, or make them darker/different? So if you would tell me which you like better, that would be awesome! Also, if you have a different suggestion for colors, let me know!
I still have to shade and do the background. The pattern on his shirt was done by simple erasing out the red (though I'd probably cheat in the future and use brushes cause that bitch was hard to do). I tried to find a way to cheat with the lei and not draw a million flowers, and I think it worked well. Hoping to finish it this weekend. Many many many thanks to Vekke who helped me redline it and make it a million times better than my original sketch X) I knew the idea I wanted, but I had never drawn this sort of pose before (or a jackalope for that matter!)
