Your Malaika is Evolving~
So, for the last few months I've been contemplating removing the moon and star marking from Mala (at least in her feral form). I made her when I was like 13 and at the time I was obsessed with moons and stars and Mala was a lioness complete with a family with similar markings and a backstory and so on and so forth. When she changed to being a wolf, the marking made her easy to distinguish from the other thousand white wolf characters. I think she's changed enough though that, at the current point in time, she's recognizable without the symbol. The last couple of times I've drawn her, I've drawn her without it not even realizing it.. until someone pointed it out to me. I think I just want her looking more "natural" looking, in feral form (not that anything about her is natural, but you know what I mean). Plus, I'm kind of tired of all the "why does she have the islamic flag on her butt?" comments that I get almost everytime art of her is uploaded somewhere :| It's only one on side, people are always drawing it on the wrong side, it's turned in different directions, ect ect.
And frankly, I'm not 13 years old anymore and anything that I thought it meant to me it doesn't really anymore. Everything else about Mala does though.
I'll still keep it in anthro form, since tattoos make more sense on anthros (not really but you know what I mean :|). I think I just need her to keep growing a little more as the little creation she started as.
