Ending, beginning: two long weeks

Wow, has it really been two weeks since I last posted? My last week at SecureWorks passed pretty uneventfully. Friday afternoon after I dropped off my badge I stopped by Reflex to say hi, and I ended up at my new desk setting up my computer. I got to PPN a little late that evening.

This past week has been pretty crazy. Mostly good crazy, though. My first week at Reflex was really good. A little setting up my computer, and a lot of learning. Some of it has been learning their internal systems. Some of it has been learning security-related stuff that I should've learned a long time ago. All in all, though, it's been progressing apace; I feel like I've made good progress, and I expect to be up and running doing basic coding tasks with them before the end of this week.

Friday night was a concert; I'll write a review shortly in another post. Saturday was wonderful food and chat and movie with radiantbaby and dragonflydreamr. I'm looking forward to doing that again sometime. The movie was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Overall I really liked it. Tim Burton is a genius when he lets himself do quirky and twisted, and in this movie had both in spades. Honestly going into the theater I was a little worried about Johnny Depp as Wonka, but by the end I was really quite happy with his performance. Anyway, overall a good show.
