I just finished reading an 800+ page odyssey in the form of H/D fanfic sent to me by a lovely FB friend. Lately when someone asks or just when my mind needs to think of such things I think for a second that I am 23.  I'm not.  Don't worry I have not bumped my head recently.  I know the day and the year, who is president, etc, but for some reason I don't know how old I am.  My mother assures me that this happen with age but the fact that it's always 23 ( Read more... )

Exactly 10 years ago, I sat in a classroom and watched on TV as a plane flew into the the twin towers, listened as the newscasters speculated on who and why, watched as the towers fell, as survivors ran out and heroes ran in.  It was as I understand the the worst terrorist attack on US soil, almost 3000 people died as a result.  I cried that day ( Read more... )
