Awkward...
So it's been a really beautiful weekend in my neck of the woods and I've been trying to spend at least little time each evening outside which lead to the following (potentially very innocent) exchange with my neighbor and her 5 and 14 year old:
Neighbor: I like your new hammock it looks very comfortable
Me: oh it is, I could probably sleep in it! I sometimes wish I had one inside, it's fun too, kind of like an adult swing. Umm, I mean, you know, to relax in hopefully her mind didn't just go where yours did but yeah it's great, I always loved to swing.... stop talking now, you're not making it any better
5 year old: grown-ups can't go on swings, they are too big
14 year old: yes they can stupid, some adults still like to swing
Me: Umm, anyway, I have to go insert hasty retreat while I try not to blush
The lesson? Don't talk to the neighbors? Or at least not immediately after lying on the hammock reading NC-17 fics....
