the morning after...passover!
So yesterday I cleaned all day getting everything ready for passsover dinner..though I am not jewish, I have a lot of friends who are and I am always open to experiencing other cultures. We had fried potatoes and sweet potatoes ( a little bit of brown suagr..yum) and green beans, chicken, matzo ball soup, and some yummy brisket that we made using emeril's reciepe offline...The dinner was good..the dessert..not so much but that's ok. I had some manishevizt wine ( spelling?)which tasted like grape juice with some sugar in it..i continued to drink my shiraz wine for the rest of the evening. Zack hid the mazto which i found on the floor next to the table under his hat..heh. BUt yea, it was very interesting. It's amazing how much of the jewish culture i have been exposed to this year. I only knew one jew in high school and he was turning buddahist. So yea, very interesting.
For the remainder of the evening I went out with shawn. We were originally gonna rent a movie but since I was on a horror film kick and I couldn't find any that i wanted to see..we decided to go see The amityville horror. So this movie is a remake and since my older brother was into horror movies when he was younger, I had seen the original at a young age and i remember it being as creepy as hell..The new one...was so fucking scarying.It was great..I had shawn cuddling up to me cuz he was so scared..it cracked me up..by the end of the movie I was holding onto him too though and hiding my face in his shoulder..it was one of the scariest movies i've seen in a while which is great..it shows that people nowadays actually do still know how to make good scary movies..from what i've seen the last few times, i was beginning to think that they were confused about what exactly is scary as oppsoed to uber cheesey..( heh i used the word uber! lol). So yea, when i got home last night i was a little creeped out but i found lindsey lohan's version o fthe parent trap on ABC family and fell asleep to that. I had a little scary dream but it was more like we were all running away from them and they never got us thank god..the end of my dream was me trying to help someone on final jeopardy by looking up as much information as I could on tanasia ( which isn't even a place..no wonder I was having issues finding info on the internet). We didnt get back to the set of jeopardy until 8:00 so the final jeopardy was over and my chick didn't win. Weird ..heh anywho, gotta study for my history final that i have tomorrow. I think i'll do a little studying on my own before my study group at 5. Hope everyone's finals go well! Good luck!
