oh to be european

Toby and I went out in Mainz yesterday and we found this cool little cafe/bar called "Besitos tapas y mas." I know, it's in Spanish. It means "Little Kisses: Snacks and more" It was cool because the menu was in German and Spanish, and Toby knows Spanish really well, so she could translate the German to English usuing her Spanish. And we learned some German names by studying the menu. It was neat. And we tried some German beer. It was good. A they gave us a lot although I asked for a "small."...

The coolest thing about the night was that we were mistaken for a pair of German girls!! We were at this other cafe-type place and when the waitor brought our bill (a different one than had been serving us), he made some joke in German and kind of chuckled...when we didn't laugh and tried to say we don't speak German he said, in very good English, "Oh, I didn't realize you weren't German!"
That made my night.

So, a question for everyone who has been to Germany/Europe. Where should Toby and I go?!? We have two or three weekends to travel, and we can't decide where to go. We're definitely going to Paris the last weekend in January, so that leaves two trips. We're taking a couple day trips to Frankfurt, because that's less than an hour away. Then we were thinking about Berlin or Amsterdam, or maybe even Prague or Luxumberg...I'd like to go to Berlin I think. I'd really like to go down to Italy, but I don't think that'll work out.
Anyway, what do you guys recommend?
