The time is so confusing here... all the differences... we don't use the... a.d. system anymore- Britannia is a.t.b., and- I was really sure next year was supposed to be the Pig... but here it's supposed to be the year of the Ox apparently... 2009... but it was supposed to be 2018 by the Britannian calender...

The Year of the Earth Brown Cow. There's merchandising in the streets already.

Do you need help with math? I'm good at it. It's one of my favorite subjects.

I'd love watching the celebrations for Chinese New Year. Maybe I could help, Tianzi. But you'll have to tell me what to do. Ignorant average Japanese student.

I'm not really good... I could use the help- for school!

Well... I could maybe direct it! I could do that!

I wouldn't mind tutoring you. What about during Saturday morning?

There's an idea. You should look for someone who has experience in organizing parties or big celebrations to help you. All I can do is make food or help with the decorations.

That would be okay-

Do you know anyone?

The Empress? Of... of China?

...

Other New Year? So this one was... by the solar calendar. And thus not the one... we usually have. Figures. It really is confusing here.

... I didn't know the system by which the years are counted here at all before coming here.

M- Mm! Well- It's the Chinese Federation, in my world, but. Yes.

I learned in the books!

But - you're still the Empress. Didn't think I would ever speak to one...

It's a pleasure, Your Highness!

In the library? I guess I could go take a look. Maybe there's a book that compares the solar calendar to the Japanese one.
