[So, Harley has been making the best of her time here in Vertiline. She's found allllll kinds of neat things after a bit of unsupervised wandering. Did you just feel a chill run down your spines? 'Cause, it wouldn't be a bad thing to be a bit alarmed.
You see, Harley located .. the armory.
There is a moment and the communicator clicks to life. Can

[It's not really a question.]

Mama will be able ta start a fan club soon, huh, baby? So, that'd make ya from Gotham, huh? Durin' my hay-day or future tense, bubs?
[Yeah. The future. She might not know there's several Bat-like figures running around, yet, but she knows there are future Gothamites.]

I'm not what you'd call a fan. And I guess I'm from your future.

The harlequin cants a brow, unseen, but all the same she's doing it.]
Ain't a fan? Well, bubs, ya don't even know me. Ain't too fair ta pass judgment before ya even know a broad, is it? Future or no, it don't make it any easier on'a girl if ya got them predisposed opinions an' I don't even know ya.

I know your boyfriend too.

Ya know me, but yer from the future, huh?
[Cue her eyes widening just a bit as time paradoxes and the like become sudden possibilities!!]
HEY!! That means I didn't fall ta my death! YIPPPPIEEEEEEE! HAHAHAHAhah
[If you could see her, she's giving a twirl of happy right now, communicator in hand as she comes to a halt.]
An' my Puddin', too?! Well, if that ain't the best news I've gotten all day! How ya know us, bubs? [Harley is listening avidly now. He could be a fan, or someone they worked with in the future, or even someone they took advantage of! The possibilities of her future were endless!]

Both of you did.
[No need to go into specifics here. Joker technically did die when Tim shot him, and as far as Terry's concerned, Harley had her back broken in that fall.
God, Harley really does sound every bit as crazy as the Commish said she was.]

Well, I guess being snatched outta thin air had its benefits, then, huh?!
[Cause, seriously, she was alive and that was what was important, right?! Annnnnnnd, then that last bit actually sinks in through the fog of 'happy Harley'. You might even hear her capybara snuffle and shift nervously as there is nothing on her end but silence for several beats. Hell, Terry might even think that she's severed the connection; and then, in a voice deceptively soft..]
My Puddin' is dead?
[Because sure, hearing Max Lisa say that no one had seen them around in a while was one thing, but this? This was not 'no one has seen them around'.]

[Terry almost slips into his Batman voice, but pulls it back.
He hates Harley. Hates her. He saw firsthand what she and the Joker did to Tim, how they tortured an innocent child and ruined his life for decades to come. How he would never be without surveillance and psychiatric treatment, never without suspicion and distrust.]

Well .. that don't mean nothin' .. not really. Who knows how far ya are from the future, ya know? I could still have alllllllll kinds'a time with my Puddin' ..
AND, with how this place works, who knows if might still show up!
[Wouldn't you just shit a kitten Fatman? If her Puddin' showed up and the pair of them were able to run rampant through the pods of Vertiline .. The thought actually distracts her enough that she smiles and sighs rather wistfully.]

[Terry's done with this conversation. He disconnects and drops his communicator on the bed, pulling out the batsuit. He's got scouting to do and he's not prepared to waste any more time and effort on Harley.]
