Ah, Kellie. I was so over Kellie from day one. To sum it up; she gives southern girls a bad name. It is sort of like how Gloria Steinham and the whole women's lib movement screwed life up for females in general. We had it made, then the male population rebeled, your lucky now if you don't get a door let go on you, much less get one opened for you, unless you live in the south. Same with Kelly, southern women pretty much knew how much 'blonde' men thought was cute and how much was stepping over the line. Kellie does the Kellie stomp way over that line, bringing to light on national televison the whiles of southern women in away that could cause a serious backlash.

I saw an interview with Taylor's brother awhile back where he said Taylor called him everyday and was very insecure about what to do/say/sing, etc. I don't know if he felt that way from day one, but he didn't look like he did. Like you, I think I see his confidence eroding. He went into this thinking they at least liked what he had to offer. With all their 'constructive criticism' and 'destructive personal attacks', I think he is at the very least falling into the Elliott syndrome of trying to figure out what it takes to please - but at the very most, I think Taylor's self-image is taking a hard hit. I bet he wishes some days now that he was back home with his sweet grandmother and the local fans who love him.

Your description of Chris was right on point and much better articulated than anything I have ranted about him. I mostly just stick with 'he is boring'. Friends of mine who began liking him have also become bored with him. Oh, if only that would happen with a large poplulation sector.

Are there any new ROMANTIC songs from this era? I am not familiar with Marc Broussard. Are his songs romantic? On another site someone mentioned Train's "Drop of Jupiter" (I think that was the title), but I am not familiar with it either. I would melt to hear him sing a romantic song. I love all the songs on his CD. They were all copyrighted in 2005.

I voted for Clay in his season and I have been voting non-stop for Taylor, voting last week 160 times. We need to get you in the voting mode. On one of the sites where you vote for most popular/who will win for several weeks he was in the top, now he has taken a big drop. Oh, new fans are so fickle! Taylor needs all his fans to vote. I so want him to show Simon, but even more, I want Taylor to see how much the people that love him, REALLY LOVE HIM. If you decide to vote, it begins to get easier in the second half hour and becomes easier even more in the second hour. Of course - we don't want it to be too easy, that is a very bad sign.

I wish I could just call him up and tell him to calm down, be himself, and do what he feels is right and show the world who he is and what he can do. I trust his personal creative instincts much more than I do his efforts to please a nation and three diverse judges.

Back to work....
