Well, I learned something last night: slashers love latkes (and yes, I know Chanukah's over). My brain is filled with sludge. The combination of residual illness, fatigue, and vague anxiety has me feeling like my thoughts, such as they are, are mired in a sort of primordial ooze, with a backbeat of throbbing pain, which intensifies when I attempt to pull one of those sluggish thoughts to the surface and actually look at it.
