I figured I'd take a break from talking about Pros, and fic, to talk, not about horses for once, but about cats ...

For a variety of reasons, Mr. JaC and I have decided to get a kitten...this will make five cats for us, which is a bit ridiculous and perhaps makes us Crazy Cat People, but of those five one is 16, and another - Arnold - is 14 with

And those kittens ... it's just too much cuteness to bear. For every single person I've shown them too (all women, admittedly), the first word out of their mouth is "awwww..." I think it's a built-in reflex!

(And brief lapse into paranoia- you got my email, right? Absolutely no need to rush to respond, but I want to make sure, because my email problems have gotten worse rather than better, and I am now officially well past nervous and into paranoid - the email monsters are out to get me!)

Thank you ... there is nothing as adorable as a kitten, except maybe a whole squirming mass of them!!

I know you just lost both yours, and I can't tell you how incredibly, incredibly sorry I am. There is just nothing like that pain, of losing one of these little beasts we love so much. I sometimes ask myself whether it's worth it - obviously the answer is always yes, but boy it's tough.
