First of all, we all do really stupid things. We all have done things with the wrong person. An honestly, ten years isn't that big of a jump the older you get.

As far as him holding things over your head, I suggest blackmail. I know, I know - I should be suggesting something more civil. However, if he's going to be a dick you should be one right back. Tell him to knock it off or you'll tell your father. I'm sure he knows he can get kicked out the door. You have the power here, not him. He just wishes he did.

With the rest...all I can say is go with it. If it's what you want don't let yourself get scared. I've seen how badly that can go. We're all fucked in the head, but there's still the chance of standing despite it.

He's not the kind of guy who's threatened by blackmail. In fact, he's the kind of guy who, if provoked, will turn it on me and tell my father before I do, making me look like I'm trying to get Daddy's attention.
