After yesterday's trial concluded so quickly and decisively, I thought it appropriate to share my thoughts on the proceedings. I'm fairly sure I can't get in trouble for this, but I will try to be vague anyway.
I admit that I was somewhat disappointing about the outcome of the entire day - not just in that the prosecution and the defense couldn't find the real criminal, though that was certainly true (and surprising). I was more upset about not being a witness in the sense I thought that meant.
There I was, ready to engage in a battle of wits should I be so called upon, nervous but determined! The whole idea was so romantic, its allure was impossible to deny. I was ready to have my brain picked, and maybe to reveal something vital which even I didn't realize I had seen! But it never happened. I never got to testify at all. Such a letdown. I had put on my extra strength deodorant for nothing.
Miss Skye, I want to thank you for providing the highlight of the day. If not for that fire, I would write it off as a total disappointment in every way excepting that I am sure of my verdict and Miss Cadaverini was justly set free. That was easily the most explosive display this court has ever had!
I will conclude with a haiku:
So disappointed
Justice standing part-fulfilled
'Least I'm not on fire
