Thought I'd stop in to LJ and see what's up. It seems that only about 4-5 of my LJ friends are still using it with any regularity. I wonder where everyone else went, or if, like me, they just simply got too lazy for journaling because of Facebook. -

Ok, it's bad enough that it's a miserable day and most other districts but ours got a snow day, but the REAL reason we should not have to be here is that the e-mail is not working...geez, I can work without water, I can work without toilets that work, I can even work without power if my laptop is charged...but no e-mail is a valid reason to close ( Read more... ) -

Leah just sent me an e-mail to tell me she got cast as Annie in the school production of "Annie"!!! This is amazing news, since she is new to the school this year and all. :) -

It seems like every statistical "group" I fit into is being attacked in the media and in society lately:
Catholic - check.
Fat - check.
Teacher - check.
I feel more and more like my very existence causes disdain among those around me. Makes me want to stay home and hide. Very demoralizing. -

I so need a new life. Words cannot describe how much I hate and feel so woefully unsuited to and yet completely TRAPPED in my job. I need to find a way to support our household that doesn't make me want to drive my car into a telephone pole on the way to work every morning. -

Hello people...so now Facebook has been blocked from our work computers 24/7 and not just during school hours. Doesn't matter even if we bring our laptops home at night or on the weekend, still blocked. Seems a bit much. -
