Article: Tweeting Tweetyfour/7

Remember a life without twitter? Remember those days when you never 'tweeted'?  'Twitter'; one of the largest growing sites, has sucked many of us into another social networking craze. A craze of updating...your status. As boring as it sounds, it is extremly addictive.

Now unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, most of you have at least heard of Twitter. Many of you might even have Twitter. And some, a small minority prehaps, tweet every single chance they have! About anything! Any random piece of information you can squash into 140 characters. I can't deny. I myself consider to be part of that small minority. What with TweetDeck and every other 928438743874893793 twitter app available on the iPhone, how can you not be so obsessed with 'tweeting'.

From following your favourite celebrity to getting new recipies from top chefs, Twitter is a phenomenom. It attracts hundreds of users a day and with over 6 million tweeters, statistics show that users will double by the end of the year.

It may seem harmless to many of you. What the heck? How is writing something 140 characters long really have an impact on your life? YES, it does. Now with the added features of twitvid and twitpic and every other twitmyass feature, it's lost it's simplicity.

I enjoy twitter. Sure it has taken over my life. Absorbed me back into the internet world. But it's a great way to stay in touch with people. It's covinient, it's easy and more so I find it safer than any other social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace. On Facebook, if you were to add a stranger, they would see the exact same information about you that your family would see. All your pictures, real name, email address...everything. However, Twitter doesn't require that amount of information. Just your name, location and a picture.

So what are you waiting for, get stalking, I mean following.
