Hiya all book readers in my f-list, I need suggestions please :D For the first time in my life, I'm so bored and tired with anything historical, including novels, and all the deep, meaningful, soul-touching books which seem to be the trend these days. So lately I've been trying to find other kinds of light reading materials. My primary reading genre is mystery (murder is preferred, but not necessarily whodunit). Science-based novels like Michael Crichton's (especially Jurassic Park, State of Fear, and NEXT) will be great too. And if you happen to know something like The X-Files in novel format (not the alien part, but the other mysteries like sasquatch, manitou, unexplainable monsters, aberrant beings, paranormal activities) I'm going to love you forever ;A; But straight-up mystery cases with cops etc. are fine too, as long as it's good :")
I tried The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver, but I didn't particularly like his way of story-telling, although I enjoyed the plot immensely >>; So if you know any similar author who has a different narrative style, I'd love to try his/her books.
And, um, no high emphasis on romance please orz
!books are life
