Tennant's leaving Doctor Who, ey? I'm probably one of the few who's thinking "yay!" I don't hate Tennant, don't get me wrong, but he never did for me what Eccleston - or even Pertwee, if we go back! - did. Change is good. I didn't watch most of the last series, anyway - it seems to have lost its magic, TBH, and some of the stories don't seem as good any more. *shrugs* I prefer Torchwood these days.
Moving on: now, has anyone heard of a play called "Madame de Sade" before? It's written by a Japanese guy called Yukio Mishima and it's (obviously) concerned with the Marquis de Sade but from the perspective of his wife and several other women in his life. The thing is I've just found out that this play is gonna be on London's West End next year with Judi Dench and Rosamund Pike! Wow, big names! Trouble is I'm too broke to go and I don't wanna spend what remains of my savings on it (just in case I need to jet off to NY for "Exit the King" sometime over the next year or two, of course... Heheh Or just fly back to Australia). The cheapest tickets for "Madam de Sade" are, at the moment, around £160-odd (about $320 AU), which is a little on the steep side. ;) It'd make an interesting companion piece to "Quills", though, don't you think? And when was "Quills" last on stage, anyone know, since it was originally a play...?
Anyways, t'is Halloween tomoz! I think I'm due to re-watch House on Haunted Hill. ;) Now, really.must.study!!! Damnit!
