743. my family is on a hit list
Now is not really a fantastic time to be a part of my family. Within the last couple of days, two of my family members have been in the ER.
My uncle Kevin broke both the bones above his ankle while playing golf last Thursday, and last night my little brother Matt left work early because he was sick, and on his way home he lost control of his car and spun into a ditch.
Both Matt and Kevin are all right. Kevin had surgery on his leg and has a cast now, with a good prognosis for recovery time. Since Matt was feeling woozy and out of it when he got home after his wreck, Mom took him to the ER and they ran some tests on him. They had to hook him up to an IV drip for dehydration (which explained why he was out of it). He's home now and doing fine.
I still hate when things like this happen. I'm waiting for the next big accident/injury--don't these things happen in threes?
