Summary: It took something like this to bring them all together again.
A/N: Part of the Wither/Elixir prompt table.
How long had it been since they were all together in one place? It felt like ages when really it had been a mere three years, and of all the things to bring them back together it had to be a funeral.
A gloved hand slipped into Josh’s and squeezed it gently as the crowd began to disperse, but Josh didn’t seem to notice. Tear filled blue eyes watched the figure standing near the casket, slim fingers brushing over one of the many roses decorating it before the young man turned away. Another young man, this one yet another familiar face with white hair, was waiting for him, an arm going around the other as soon as he was close.
“Josh?” Blue eyes met brown and the golden mutant smiled weakly.
“I’m okay. Let’s…Let’s go home.” Kevin nodded and led him away from the grave, away from the pain that was lingering there.
