“You seem lonely.” Startling out of his thoughts, Victor looked up at the young man that had spoken to him absently hugging his backpack a bit closer.
“Just thinking.” He murmured and the young man smiled, moving to take a seat on the bench beside the lizard-teen.
“You chose a lovely place to do so.” Before the pair was a small pond, lilies scattered all about and to Victor’s left was a large willow. It was quiet all around, a few other people walking about but the sounds of the city were lost to them. “I myself come here often to do the same.”
“I can leave if you-“
“Nonsense. This bench is plenty big enough for the both of us.” After a moment Victor nodded and he seemed to relax a bit, a smile of his own appearing. The pair sat in a comfortable silence, the young man watching a family of ducks swimming about while Victor watched the clouds above. Finally the green skinned teen held a hand out, smile becoming a bit larger as he did.
“I’m Victor.” The young man blinked then his smile reappeared and he took the offered hand.
“I’m Jonas. It’s a pleasure to meet you Victor.”
