I'm haaaaappy again
well, I might have been happier if my ass didn't get very wet and cold, but it was nice to have the mountain almost totally to myself. The snow was kind of mashed-potato-esque - thick and heavy - but some of it had been groomed recently so I got some nice zooming runs in. It was also nice going skiing by myself. I haven't done that in awhile and while I generally prefer good company, it is nice on occasion to have a solo drive and ski afternoon. I got up there around 3:30 and skied until 5:30, then went in for some chili fries. I sort of killed time so that I would miss rush hour.
I am going up again on Sunday with Kris and (maybe) Katherine and her boys. I *might* opt out if it rains again. Once in a great while I will ski in the rain but if I *know* it is going to be a rainy day it is not really worth the trouble to drive up there. Am also playing hooky on Tuesday and going up with long-lost ski buddy Clancy. It's nice, to have a boss who tells me to play hooky. ;)
