Nowaki hasn't spotted him yet, and Hiroki stands stock still outside the big window to avoid attracting his attention. He wants to stay here just a few more moments to watch Nowaki unaware. The black flower shop apron accentuates his tallness and brings out the colour of his eyes as well as all the colours, hues and shades of the flowers surrounding him.
What is he thinking about? Hiroki wonders, because Nowaki is smiling down at the roses, peonies and freesias he is arranging, touching them like you would touch someone’s face. Could it be…?
Only a moment later Nowaki lifts his head and looks straight at Hiroki. The smile is still there, unchanged.
Hiroki feels himself blush the same colour as the peony still resting its head in Nowaki’s cupped hand.
