Hi, everyone!
I believe that this character meme is starting to die down, but even so, I've been tagged again, this time for Inigo. So let's go.
Inigo Chroniclus Granger
1. Inigo's middle name is also taken from Harry Potter. Chroniclus Punnett is a fictional author who wrote Hogwarts, A History. I thought it suited him; the tome his fictional namesake wrote is very tedious and has only been read by few. I'm sure had Inigo been a Hogwarts student, he would have read it. Chroniclus also sounds like "chronicle," and Inigo chronicles his and Imago's visions over the course of the story.
2. All of Inigo and Imago's visions and prophecies have or will eventually come true.
3. Due to his time as a Seer, Inigo is extremely open to the supernatural. But also due to his time as a Seer, he is wary of the powers of the supernatural and their effects. This comes into play in the next chapter.
4. Inigo is putting on his best face for Vanessa, his daughters, and the rest of the family, but inside he is still hurting deeply from losing Imago. He cannot shake the guilt and the idea that it's all his fault. While he has come to terms with it somewhat, that pain will never leave him.
5. Inigo is not a Seer anymore and he has not had visions since giving up his powers, and he never will again. Even so, he made a lot of prophecies and saw a lot of visions in his youth, and some old prophecies will return to haunt him.
6. He loves Vanessa dearly and he feels she is the only one who understands him sometimes. But even so, sometimes he wonders if he could have saved Imago by choosing her instead of Vanessa. He feels terrible for even considering choosing Imago over her, and he's terrified that Vanessa, like Imago, will become tired of him or angry and leave as well with their daughters. Sometimes his own thoughts torment him horribly like that.
7. Inigo left everything of Imago's in the old Granger house, exactly how they left it when they went to college. Leaving it all behind was hard, but he knew keeping her trinkets around would hurt more.
8. Inigo easily took on fatherhood because he's always been taking care of Imago and keeping her out of trouble, but he doesn't realize that in some ways, he parented her a lot more than Helena and Seb did.
9. Inigo traces the fracture of his and Imago's relationship back to their Seer powers and, in a way, Cassandra for suggesting the eye trade to them. He believes that if they had been normal, they wouldn't have had a falling-out and Imago would still be alive.
10. Inigo doesn't know what he'd do if Imago came back from the dead. Of course, he'd be thrilled to see her and be able to talk to her again, but he knows she needs to grow up a whole lot and apologize for the erratic and unfair way she behaved to him. He doubts they could ever be the same again, but he buries this doubt deep within himself. He imagines Imago being alive again a lot, especially when he's feeling particularly upset about it, like when he awakens from one of the nightmares she haunts so frequently.
In other news, today I saw the movie "Inception" and it was wonderful, I definitely recommend it! It's quite fast-paced, so if you're slow on the uptake you might not like it as much as I did. The story was sci-fi woven in with genuine human emotion; there's a lot of focus on the mind of the main character. My dad and I agree that what makes a movie great is the human emotions and the development of one character. Like, "The Sixth Sense" is good because it's not really about ghosts, it's about the psychologist and his emotions and experiences with supernatural stuff going on at the same time.
I highly doubt one was supposed to cry as copiously as I did when viewing "Inception," but I cried like three times. I am cursed to cry at some point in any film I watch now, apparently.
And mind the song; I am contemplating doing a songstory for this with Isla. 'Twill be epic.
