(no subject)
Went to the "parade" today. Kind of sucked this year. I was hungover and exhausted and didn't really feel like being there. And it was raining. And I spent a lot of money on very small amounts of alcohol. And I didn't feel comfortable the whole day...but that was for a different reason I won't go in to.
I saw Coldplay about a week ago at Madison Square Garden with my friend Nick. It was a great show. I didn't really like the new CD at first, but now I do. My favorite is "Lost!", but "Lovers In Japan" is #2, and and Violet Hill is #3. Or maybe my #2 is really my #1. I just don't know.
I think the only thing that legitimately makes me happy anymore is knowing there is a new Batman movie this summer. I think most people are excited b/c Christian Bale and someone who recently died is in it, but I'm excited b/c it's Batman, and Batman is a badass motherfucker and is way cooler than Iron Man and Spider-Man.
Work sucks by the way. Don't ever get a job, kids. Stay 21 forever and wait tables in Athens, Ohio. It's the way to go, trust me.
I'm writing some pretty good material lately though I must say. At least I have that to lean on in my times of woe. I should just play piano in lounges and smoke cigarettes and drink straight gin and grow old gracefully on the upper east side.
