I have news!

Firstly- it's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow!

Secondly- I'm enrolled in Vancouver Career College's Resident Care Attendant course starting January 26th, and have applied for a student loan. Enrolment involved an entrance exam (on which I scored approximately 95%, and they said very few students score that highly) and $150 deposit, so if I don't get the loan and can't take the course, I will lose that money, which would suck. I'm hoping I'll get the loan. REALLY, REALLY hoping. However, there will still be likely a $2000 gap between the loan amount and the tuition amount, and I'll still have to work a fair amount of hours just to cover my basic living costs. I might be digging myself in deep, but if I don't move forward, things aren't going to get any better.

Thirdly- we almost have an accepted offer on my old apartment, which would be a godsend if it goes through. Completion would be the end of december, which means I wouldn't have to make one more strata fee payment there. I will then commence paying strata fees for where I live now, which is less than the other building, thereby saving $50 a month. The original plan involved a lesser mortgage payment or some extra cash, but since the offered price is $30,000 less than we originally expected at the end of August (aka, 17% price drop in 4-5 months), no extra cash will exist. Anyway, it will be a load off our shoulders to be finished with it.

Forthly- Susan, I miss you more than new episodes of House, which reminds me, there isn't going to be one tonight. I'm waiting very anxiously for the word so I can schedule my family around your time with me!
