(Fortunately, we have remedies...)

...not necessarily for the assorted busted stuff, but The Busted Stuff Blues can be be pretty effectively wiped out by some well-selected comics on the web.  Tonight, my comics bookmark group opened with particularly devastating 4-part salvo of xkcd ( http://www.xkcd.com/696/ ), Dilbert, Non Sequitor, and Ted Rall.

xkcd in particular gets mentioned because Randall Munroe has eclipsed mere Nerdy Webcomic Genius, and moved into the realm of the Seriously Sick and Twisted F*ck [1].  Today's strip alleges that before it was posted, there were exactly zero hits in Google for the hypothetical game of "Strip Poohsticks".  Twenty-five and a half hours later, the GoogleBot has found "about 17,200".  Better make that "about 17,201"...

[1] a high honor indeed, at least among those of us who relish the humor of John Backderf (The City),  Max Cannon (Red Meat), and the Matt Stone/Trey Parker duo (all things South Park-ish, and a couple of other delightfully sleazy movies).  Peter Jackson used to be so honored, but lost all of his SSaTF karma when he apologized for "Meet the Feebles" in his Oscar acceptance speech.

P.S. Anybody know of a good creek/river & bridge combination for PoohSticks in the Cleveland area? All the ones I can think of are near my childhood haunts in Illinois or Michigan.
