OMG Going to Michigan might have been a HORRIBLE MISTAKE.
Okay, really, it's not THAT bad, but still. I'm pouting about it because I know my darling boyfriend is outside in the camper pouting about having to wake up next to Corey instead of next to me.
The story? Sarah, Paul's sister, is engaged to Corey. Corey and Sarah wanted Paul to come up to Michigan to meet Corey's family. So I got dragged into it because Paul wasn't having it unless I came along. So we're being supportive. But no cussing, and definitely no sleeping in the same room together.
AND NO SEX.
In the meantime, we've just arrived (I drove the last two hours from Auburn, IN to a few miles north of Lansing, MI) and it's this adorable little farmhouse in the middle of BFE. No, seriously. The damn road was gravel. I white-knuckled it all the way to Corey's parents' driveway. I parked the minivan (borrowed from the Nichols) in front of the barn, inside which were lots and lots of farm equipment. I am SO out of place. I've hijacked the Devereauxs' satellite internet box--I have more wires that came with me than any other house visitor this century--and I'm bemoaning the fact that while it's not dial up (thank god), my pings to google are at 4 digits. (Average Comcast google ping in Indy is 19ms.) I'm sure Corey's parents are going to be sweethearts, but otherwise this is going to be a ROUGH weekend. I'm already rather dubious, simply because I was put in the extra bedroom--the study, thank god I was given the room with the internet, lol--and the compy desk is decked out with John Deere stuff.
I am SO out of place.
More later, I hope.
