I WENT TO A CONCERT AND IT WAS AWESOME
Went to the Yule Rock concert featuring My Chemical Romance and goddamn it was awesome. Went with my BFF, who has been a fan since pretty much the beginning. I was more of a casual fan, I liked the music, but didn't really *know* them.
And damn you bexless , now I'm getting obsessed ahhhh.
I feel like a traitor, but I think it was better than the Adam Lambert shows I went to! Maybe it's just the recency effect. Or that I got a spot 20 feet from the stage, on the side and COULD ACTUALLY SEE GERARD WAY'S HOTASS SELF. DAMN HE'S CUTE. AND FRANKIE OMG ADORABLE AND THEN THE STRADDLING O HAI. Tame compared to most of Adam's antics, but still. Considering they're all married...
I just enjoyed myself more. I guess it just that tho I like dance-y music sometimes, my soul music is ROCK. And they're from Jersey, so there's that commonality of place, that FUCK YEAH WE'RE AWESOME SCREW EVERYONE ELSE WE GONNA FUCK YOU UP WOOOOO!
Heh, Mikey Way had a rather Tommy-esque hairstyle. Dyed blonde, but not as long or shiny, more shaggy. Not glam, more ill-kempt dirty rocker. XD I had funny thoughts of Adam and MCR one day comically grabbing the wrong guitarist, and hijinx ensue.
Adam is fun too, but more polished and shiny. Gerard's, and the whole band's, energy was just amazing, he was just bounding all over the stage, oh and his little dance moves, ahhh, cuteness! and sexy! sexy-cuteness! Damn, he's 33 and still looks, what 15, what ridiculously good genetics.
I thought the fans at Adam concerts were nuts! MCR (or is it rock fans in general, idk?) fans are CRAZY. Throughout the set like 20-25 people tried crowdsurfing to the front. Well, not tried so much as succeeded. And there was that one chick with no top, just a bra. Well, Gerard HAD requested the first-timers to take off their shirts, but just the guys. Adam's too nice, tho I suppose it's self-preservation - if he asked the entire stage would be buried in clothes and underwear.
OH OH AND LAST ENCORE HE WENT RIGHT ON THE BARRICADE AND SORTA LAID ON TOP OF THE AUDIENCE AND JUST BASKED IN HIS OWN AWESOMENESS IT WAS GREAT.
Ugh, my dream concert would Adam Lambert and MCR, and then they turn into one huge band/orgy and THE WORLD EXPLODES FROM THE SEXY.
Love the album, and the music video is great! I love those ones that tell a story. I read an article that said the album was more like a radio show - songs vaguely linked but not really tied together. I don't really like post-apocalyptic stuff, but I, and lots of people, greatly enjoy underdog stories, the colorful rebels bringing down the brainwashing stark black/white corporation and bringing art and music back to the world! Also: fast car, tight jeans, and rayguns! XD
