Odd
I don't remember it being much of an issue last year, but I think I just shut down and so I don't really remember much except lots of flowers...
What I am referencing is Mother's Day.
Today in the store, this customer asked me, "So, have you done anything special or got something really good for your mom yet?"
*blink*
I replied, "No, it's a long story."
She didn't let it go. She smiled, "It's ok...you still have time..."
You don't want to tell someone who is trying to make polite conversation, "Actually no I don't..." It was just something that stopped me in my tracks for about twenty minutes today.
I guess I'd been thinking about it, but had hoped that I could just ignore it for the most part. My hope for tomorrow...just don't ask.
