Endure 4 Kindness

Oct 25, 2013 09:03

Good morning everyone! As some of you know, I volunteer for an organization called Random Acts. Our mission statement is conquering the world one random act of kindness at a time. In order to be able to carry out some of the bigger projects or fund acts that you submit, once in a while we need to do a fundraiser.

Every year we do an endurance event called Endure 4 Kindness (E4K) where we choose an activity to do for as long as we can and either have people pledge by hour or unit or make a flat donation. This year I am going to be crocheting an afghan for the Project Safe domestic violence shelter. I will be posting pictures and sending updates of how far I get on the actual day. This will take place next Sunday, November 3. I will begin that morning and crochet for as long as I can through that evening while marathoning the Harry Potter movies.

I will most likely not finish the afghan that day but will be donating it as soon as it’s finished (and after I’ve taken a picture for evidence, of course).

Here is the link to my fundraiser and I do thank you in advance and appreciate your help and support!! Tina's 2013 Endure 4 Kindness Harry Potter Crochet-A-Thon

Also, remember…that one small act of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone’s day. It can be something as small as smiling at someone, holding the door for them when their hands are full or buying a cup of coffee for the person in line behind you. : )
