My First Show In Athens
Yes, yes...I know it's hard to believe, but last night I attended my first show here in Athens. First and foremost I have to say that it was soooooooooo good for my soul on so many different levels.
Candi and I really had a great time hanging out and chatting with our waiter while munching on wings, celery, and of course...Blue Moon. (All within our WW points. Seriously...in love with WW right now).
We went to Wild Wing to see our friend Sam Thacker. He and Michael Westbrook were getting ready to order some food before the show when I called Sam and he came over to the table and talked to us for a bit.
When the show finally started, we really had a lot of fun. There was a group of girls at the table behind us who had seen Sam open for a local artist before and so I was trying to get them to cheer with us and stuff and even eventually brought Sam a list of requests from our tables. haha
Afterwards, Sam came over to chat with us some more and we had a lot of laughs and he and Michael told us about the great places to see and places to eat in Athens. Naturally, we took some pictures and MIGHT go and see him play in Atlanta later on this month.
He's just really a great guy and he has the best smile, not to mention he's talented and puts on a good live show! If you get a chance, definitely go check him out!!
No night is complete without a deliciously refreshing Blue Moon on tap. Mmmm!! (Side Note: Miller Lite on my glass goes out to former #2 Rusty Wallace...WOOT)
