Two nice chaps from Pack&Send showed up this morning (on time, even!) and took my boxes away (2 x clothes/books/random crap, 1 x Cepheus-the-bike[0]). I am now left with (I hope...) belongings sufficient to fit into 1 x big rucksack & 1 x small rucksack. • Seeing Leonard Cohen, who was awesome, and I nearly cried, er, several times (Hallelujah was one of them; also I think the spoken word version of Thousand Kisses Deep). I have been up to many many things in the last couple of weeks.

Or more accurately: things uon and I have been doing in Sydney, over the last few days, viz:

• Saw the NYE fireworks, which were v impressive indeed. To get into the Royal Botanic Gardens we'd have needed to start at about midday; but we were able to get into First Fleet Park (by the harbour) at around 11pm, and had a splendid view of both the bridge ( Read more... )

Spent Xmas in Melbourne with Carol & Mike (my cousins) & had a splendid time, featuring cricket on Boxing Day, winery-visiting (& wine-tasting) the day after, and wandering round antique shops the day after that ( Read more... )
