Bleak.
I just looked up all my old journals when Bowie has gone missing - which has been once a year since 06.
This is how it looks:
2006: Went missing 1/20 - was gone for 5 days. Found at 5:30am out front, 3 doors down.
2007: Went missing 1/28 - was gone for 9 days. Found stuck under neighbor's house.
2008: Went missing 3/21 - was gone for 4 days. Found stuck under my house.
2009: Went missing 1/17 - has been gone for 11 days. Still missing. :*(
I now have most all the neighbors on my street helping to keep an eye out for him. Most everyone on the street has a cat or dog so they are very sympathetic. It's helpful that they are, but unfortunately there is a cat 3 doors down across the street from me who looks JUST LIKE Bowie - but is NOT Bowie. :( So I have been getting a lot of updates saying there have been Bowie sightings but alas... they keep pointing to the house where his impostor lives. :( The flyers I have been passing out have a blurb on them now that mentions he has been known to get stuck under houses via open vents. So far mine and my neighbor's house he was stuck under before have both been checked out and each vent has been fixed for over a year now. So we can rule our houses out for that likely scenario.
Sigh........................ I'm trying to stay hopeful but it's not looking good this time. This is really taking a toll on me. I seriously can't stop crying. It kills me to know that he may very well be suffering out there somewhere. *tear*
