So, work started Monday... but I wouldn't necessarily call it 'work.' I feel like I'm back in school. Actually, I feel like I'm in a 7-week camp war eagle. Some parallels (and some new ones, for those who had seen my away message):
-Waking up insanely early to start at 6am
-Over-excited leaders
-Creed memorizing... or Credo, as VZW calls it
-Random free things (mug, lunch box, key chain)
-Chants and get-to-know you games
-Campus tours... or center tours, I suppose
But, I really like it so far. My trainer is nowhere near CWE level, so she's really cool. We are supposed to be starting the actual learning tomorrow which will be really nice b/c so far we've mainly done the so-exciting HR seminars.
Oh, and you should see the building we're in! It's amazing! And HUGE. Like, it seriously probably takes 5 minutes to walk from the east to the west entrance. We got to walk the call floors (there are two) today and see all the hundreds of baby cubicles where we will finally get to go in 7 weeks. It's a really gorgeous place though. I'm going to have to take pictures, haha.
On another note, though, today I got a call from the other position I had interviewed for (a month ago!) and they want to hire me there too. Had they called a week ago, I would gladly have said yes. But, I'm really attached to VZW now, and... honestly, it's a really good job. And, you can't quit on your third day! That's just really crappy.
Now, I just have to survive waking up at 3:45 for the next 6 1/2 weeks!
Oh, and I'm excited b/c I think I'm going to move to Madison after Christmas! I hope!
