The end is near...

So it's been a little rough this week. I hate the end of the semester! Everything comes down on you at once, and it's stressful just trying to sort through all the things you have to do. Thanksgiving is scary because it means we only have a few weeks left, and that means only a few weeks before ensemble auditions and my jury and a million final projects, including a 15-20 page paper that we still need research on...and this is all important stuff, so just thinking about it is making me crazy!

To add to the stress, because I've been trying to keep everything organized, I haven't had as much time for my friends this week, and that upsets me, too...I'm sorry I've been crabby, guys...random chill-out time is usually the best way to de-stress, but I feel like if I stop moving this week I won't get it all done! On Tuesday I said to Leah and Travis that "I waste too much time with you guys!" and they said, "oh, it's wasting time now?" and I blew it off but I actually felt really bad, because it's NOT wasting time, they're some of my favorite people and I LOVE hanging out with them; it's probably my favorite part of the day...this week was kind of bad for hanging out with anyone, though!

It has also been cold this week...apparently we've skipped "late fall/early winter" weather and gone right to the heart of January. Band practices have been difficult...for the past two days there have been icicles hanging from each piccolo by the end of rehearsal. This show is great, though, and I think we'll get a good crowd response, which we need...this big game is the one day of the year that we get to prove to OSU fans just who really is the Best Damn Band in the Land! I can't WAIT for this game! I also can't wait to go home and see my family...I miss my siblings a lot, it's been almost six months since I've seen Charlie, and that is far too long! Ok, enough with all this, just had to get it on my mind...back to the research!
