I sound my barbaric YAWP...

...And curse the gods of academia.

This morning before class I hopped onto my computer to check the room numbers. Noticed the Anatomy & Physiology class (my main class this semester, and the only pre-req left before I can apply to the PTA program) wasn't on there. Odd.
Find the room number anyway, and go to class. Teacher doesn't call my name during roll. Great.
Talk to her after lecture, confirm I am not actually in her (or any) A&P class. Shit.

Spend the next four hours vacillating between "I want to hide under the covers" depression and "I want to burn the whole world down" anger. During this time, I appealed to my (intended) teacher, who said she'd love to have me in her class, but as it is full, I'd need to talk to the Department Chair. After much hunting, I finally found the Chair's assistant, who said I'd actually need to talk to the Dean. Dean said "Fine, if they can find space for you, you're in." Wait some more until the Chair is done teaching. Chair says my intended class is full, but here's another one that meets a few hours later on the same day.

So instead of having class from 8:30-11:30 on MW, I have class from 11:30-2:30 MW. Not the teacher I had intended to take, but according to the Chair her English is perfect and unaccented (an unbelievably important factor for me) and she's a great instructor.
Plus, I get to sleep in now.

Long story short, that was a very very stressful time and I kind of want to kick the registration system that let me think I was enrolled. Still have no idea how that happened, but it's sorted out and we're moving on. Whee!

woe is me
