HELP ME I'M A GEEK

EVEN WORSE, AN ANIMATION GEEK!

Seriously, trying to ID the vector animation program that was used in the animated Doctor Who special "Infinite Quest." ...Without having watched it. After comparing the interface from a screenshot of the DVD extras to ToonBoom, TVPaint Animation, AfterEffects the best guess I can give....

...is Flash.

I'm making this way harder than I should be. And why hasn't it occurred to me I could probably just look it up?

(No my interest wasn't spurred by seeing the giant robot bird perching on top of the TARDIS no whatever would make you think that? YOU SO SILLY.)

And no, I haven't really watched any of the animated Doctor Who specials. Well, okay, do the animated restorations of the lost eps of The Invasion count? (I think I died laughing at animated!Patrick Troughton pounding at the TARDIS yelling "WORK, STUPID THING, WORK!" because it reminded me too much of Daggett from the Angry Beavers. Or Daggy should remind me of that. WHATEVER. I think the only person who can read this and has heard ME doing that is poor pikachuashnat as I fought with the computer while talking to me on the phone. Because the sad thing is I do do that...a lot. >.>;; ERGH!) Mostly because I'm afraid the animation nerd in me would throw a fit if the vector animation isn't as good as some of the other digital vector animations I've seen. :<

Again, HELP ME, I'M AN ANIMATION GEEK.

Y'know, originally this entry was started because I finally got a new mouse and uhhhm...gonna have to get used to this thing. It's all spastic to me. But of course, to most other people, my Graphire 2 mouse probably seems slow and hard to move. BUT I CAN CLICK THINGS WITHOUT FEARING THEM TURNING INTO DOUBLE-CLICKS! Do you know how many deviations in my DA inbox or journals I accidently deleted because of that? (Protip: The answer is TONS. Uh...sorry if I missed anything important.)

The nice part is that I'm so used to my 2001-era mouse that a cheap Logitech from Wal-Mart is fine by me, as long as it has a scroll wheel. (Me and my father were looking at reviews and one got a bad review from a person who simply said "LACKS A TILT FUNCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111eleventyone" Me: "I DUNNO WHAT A TILT FUNCTION EVEN IS, I don't think I'm gonna miss it.")

I do seem to finally be getting over the Sickness of Moltar just in time for Christmas and maybe we'll finally get the freaking tree up. Hopefully they'll let me put in all my ornaments this year, my mum didn't let me put in tiny!snowball Lillian with her scarf or even any of the ornaments bloophoenix sent me! D8< They at least gotta make room for Lillian and the WALL-E ornament I got from aznwolfdoll sent me.

Oh! On a related note, got cards form chika_jin and nanook123 in the past couple days! Junee, I squeed when I saw Cambot. SO. HARD. And GAH YES ROBITS ARE HARD TO DRAW BUT YES I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THEM I PRETTY MUCH FORCED MYSELF TO LEARN AT LEAST HOW TO DRAW A FEW.

...[Munchkin voice]I wonder if it's a GOOD robot bird, or a BAD robot bird...[/Munchkin] What I'm not thinking about robot birds again! But haven't you guys missed my totally ADHD entries? 8D
