And won't you think I'm pretty?
Things have actually been pretty good the past few days.
I was home sick Friday and Monday. And all weekend. Went to the doctor. Got an inhaler to clear out my lungs.
Yesterday was a great day, and today was a great day.
Yesterday after school I drove with Cailey to Indian River to get her black dress back from a friend she lent it to. We listened to My Chemical Romance and The Used and drank coke the whole way there. It was awesome. Cailey is so funny. Sometimes she has me laughing so hard I can't even breathe!
When we got back into Petoskey we went to Walmart to get hair dye, costume make-up, and fabric for our costumes. Then we went to JoAnn Fabrics where we spent ages trying to find just the right black and red fabric for our dresses. We're going to be Helena from the My Chemical Romance video.
After getting back to my house we put on My Chemical Romance and worked on our dresses. We pinned them and then gave up sewing because we're so bad at it! Hehe. Then we decided to dye our hair. For the costume, our hair has to be black (I promise I'll take pictures to show all of you! It's going to be bad ass!) So we began to dye it. We used this kind... I forget what it's called... but it was called "Black Negro" and it had this Asian lady on the front. We only bought one bottle because we figured there would be enough for the both of us. It's safe to say that we were completely wrong.
We definitely ran out of hair dye half way through Cailey's hair, and mostly through my hair. And you all know Cailey's... the bright red... or as it is now because it had faded, as Cailey calls it, "stomach acid red". We were laughing so hard we couldn't breathe. Holy shit.
We had to run to the store with the dye still in our hair. It was crazy. And fucking cold out! Everyone kept looking at us. It was so funny. We laughed so hard. We both almost fell over from laughing. Then we couldn't find the hair dye! We were running all over the store looking for it. And when we found it, we couldn't find the color we were already doing. Cailey yelled, "WHERE'S THE ASIAN LADY!!?!?!?" It was so funny. Finally we just grabbed the first thing that said "black", paid, and ran out of there. Sped back to my house, seeing that our scalps were burning ;-) We had to shake those bottles up so much to get the damn chemicals mixed... and it ended up being like a dark honey brown! We were so worried that we grabbed the wrong boxes, so we had to double check ;-) Yeah. It was really funny. But we did get black.
Ben called us in the midst of dying. It was really funny. We were laughing to hard to talk.
Our hair turned out pretty well. Cailey's looks so awesome. I'll get to mine later....
Today was good too. Zoie came running up to me and said, "Did you dye your hair black!?" And I said, "Yes, do you like it?" She said, "Yes I do!" Hehe.
At lunch Ben came up to me, and picked me up and flipped me over his shoulder! And Holly smacked my ass and said, "She's my Nina! I'm allowed to hit her ass!" It was really funny.
Andrew came in at lunch today! I ran over and gave him a huge hug. I kept giving him hugs. I miss him so much. My big brother figure ;-) I miss him loads! And there is honestly never time to go and see him what with work, homework, Cantantes, dance company, etc. and then him having band practice. And they're leaving to go on tour soon also... we're going to try and have me pay his cell phone bills. Hopefully that works out so I can call him and talk. Or maybe they'll have access to the internet on the road so I can e-mail him and such. Hopefully! We're going to try and weasle him into going to the senior's Halloween dance tomorrow night. I hope he comes! I was sad when he left. I gave him a huge hug. But it made my day better! Love that kid!
The rest of the day was pretty blah. Went down to McCune for theatre to work on lights with Mr. Scott.
Went and picked up Ben to go help with NHS at the little kid's Harvest Festival tonight. It was really cute. Zoie and Zita were in it so I got to see them, and their mom. She's really funny. I like her a lot. She's really nice. When Zoie came in and saw me, she said, "NINA!" and jumped up and down. Gotta love that kid. She makes me feel like I'm worth something.
After Zoie's performance, she ran over to me, jumped in my arms and said, "I can't find my mommy." I told her I'd stay with her until we found them. But we found them easily :-) So all was okay. It was really sweet though.
Ben, Holly, Cailey, Jin and I all went back to Ben's house to drop off Jin and pick up Ben's car. Then we went back to my house. Travis came over too. We all hung out. Cailey and I "worked on our dresses". Meaning my mom did because she's so kick ass. And Ben and I were supposed to do reading for an AP History discussion tomorrow. Fuck it. I don't care!
Tomorrow should be fun too. Senior Halloween dance. It's going to be awesome. I sure hope so at least. It's in Becky's barn. And I'm going to be taking photos for it as well. I'll post them on here. I promise.
Afterwards we're going to Ben's.
Then I think Holly and Cailey are spending the night.
And then all weekend we're going to hang out most likely. Help them move into their new place.
Then all next week is theatre week. And theatre week = NO SCHOOL. Well, not really. We just have theatre every day. From 8:30-4:00. And then Thursday and Friday will be no school unless it's absolutely necessary. So... yeah. Should be cool. Therefore, no homework. Therefore, hanging out every day after school without worrying about getting things done. Yeah!
I don't know if I like my black hair. Some people said they really like it a lot. I don't know what to think. Especially standing next to Cailey, I felt really ugly with it. I don't know. I just don't know. I don't feel pretty. It's not a nice feeling. Yeah, friends say it, but who knows if they ever really mean it. You know? They're your friends! They have to be nice to you... I guess... I don't know....
