Sunrise
My computer is being such a bugger. I haven't had enough patience to get on and spend two million hours trying to get through all the pop-ups and things on it to write an entry. So please, forgive me for being a bad commenter/updater.
It's been a fairly lax past few days. Nothing to exciting. Nothing dull enough to mull over and think, "Why did I just sit there on my ass like that and do nothing?"
Tuesday was pretty good. I hung out with Megan, Andrew, Josh, Dannon and Kyle. Andrew told us about this guy who's bee selling crack to his mother. And she has been doing it in front of Andrew's little brother and sister. How horrible is that? He's so mad at her for it. Understandably so.
We all went the skate park in Gaylord. It was fun. Megan and I watched Andrew, Josh and Kyle skate. And the other people there as well. We also watched Andrew give some skating tips to the littler ones there. It was pretty cute. We were there for about an hour. Megan seems to think that Josh likes me. "When he was pulling you out of the car at the bowling alley on Sunday night and then saying that you could sit with him in the back seat and hold hands. And he's showing off for you skating right now," she says. Nice try, Megs dear. Yeah, it would be nice. But no go. Not Miss Julie Bean. Not now. But I'll explain that later.
After the skate park we went further out into Gaylord to the middle of nowhere, where Kendall's band, All Odds Against, was having practice. It was the first time I heard them. They were so fucking good. I enjoyed it a lot. Josh had a great time messing up my hair. And then Megan's hair when she tried to get him to stop messing up mine. But we both messed his hair up right back. We left the band practice after a little bit.
On the way to Petoskey, Megan's Subaru was jam packed. Megan and Andrew were in the front; Josh, Dannon and Kyle were in the back, with me sitting on the floor of the car at Josh and Dannnon's feet; Randy was laying down in the open area "trunk". Ah yes, it was a great time. After about 10 minutes into the drive, I realized I couldn't stay crouched and smooshed on the floor if I wanted to breathe properly, so Dannon and Kyle scooted down, enabling me to slide up into the seat in between Josh and Dannon. And the four of us stayed scrunched like that the whole way back. It wasn't a bad ride. Just tight, with very little room. Josh messed up my hair a bit more, saying it smelled like fruit. I laughed and apologized for it smelling like fruit. He said it was okay and messed it up again, so I messed his up right back.
We dropped Josh and Dannn at home and then took Randy to a friend's house. Then we went to my house until about 11:30, when we went to the movies to meet back up with Josh, Dannon, Kendall and Kristin to see Batmin Begins at the opening 12:00 show. It was good. Nothing spectacular, but good. And Andrew kept cracking great remarks on Katie Holmes which made me laugh a lot.
After dropping everyone off, Megan, Andrew and I went back to Megan's. We got there are around 3:00. I was going to stay the night, but felt pretty horrible all of a sudden, and drove home instead. It was awful. I collapsed in bed at 4:00, dry heaving with the room spinning. And there I laid in the utter dizziness until I fell asleep around 4:45.
I slept until 1:00 the next day. My mom went in for shoulder surgery. I tried getting up and walking around. Not so good. I almost threw up and kept falling over, unless I was holding on to something. So I spend the day in bed. Reading. Sleeping. Went to sleep around 3:00 p.m. and woke up at 10:30 the next morning. I spent that day watching Phantom of the Opera with my mom. Megan and Andrew surprised me and came over late that night. Played basketball. Watched the rest of the Pistons game with us. They won, 102-71. Pistons and Spurs are now tied in the NBA Finals 2-2. Game 5 is tonight. GO DETROIT PISTONS!!! :-D *UPDATE: They lost, 96-95. One fucking point! {Growls}*
I went over and hung out with Megan Friday afternoon. We watched Moulin Rouge (Ewan McGregor singing. *Sigh*.) Then the guys showed up! Andrew, Dan and Kyle played some basketball with Megan and I until the two of us left to get Christina and rent some movies.
On the way through town, Megan, Christina and I witnessed the most beautiful sunset Petoskey has seen in awhile. Wild oranges, purples and pinks. It was amazing. We also saw Josh and Dannon in the park, so after getting Christina (and Megan saying, "Awwww, you get to see Josh. He's a sweetie.") we went to talk to them. Jordan and Nate were there talking when we walked up. We talked for a bit and then left. Went to Blockbuster. Rented Mulholland Drive and The Machinist. We watched The Machinist. Holy-fucking-shit. That movie was so well done. It was undescribable. Creepy. Slightly thrilling. Throught provoking. Very good. It's the one where Christian Bale dropped 63 lbs. to play that part of the 119 lb. insomniac. Now that was a walking skeleton if ever I saw one.... It just... enthralled me. In many ways. I can't explain....
Megan went to work around 9:00 yesterday morning. Christina and I left shortly after that. We stopped at the Woolly Bugger to visit Megan at work and get some coffee. Then we went into Petoskey and stopped at Big Apple Bagels to get muffins for the guys. Then we went to pick up Josh and Dannon and bring them to work. Christina and I were all excited because we thought they'd still be sleeping, and we planned to bang on Andrew's cymbals and jump on them and hit them with pillows to get them out of bed, but they were already up! Oh well. We told Dannon we had muffins and he simply smiled and said, "Bad ass!" Hehe.
After dropping the guys off, Christina and I went back to Harbor, and stopped at the Woolly Bugger to visit with Megan again. Then we went back to Petoskey and went to Ethnic Creations. Christina and I each got a kick-ass skirt. Then we went to A Penny Saved. I got this awesome negligee shirt thing that I'm currently wearing over a white t-shirt and my jeans. It's really cool. And it was only $3.00!
I dyed my hair again yesterday. It's the same color now. As it was before, I mean. Chocolate Cherry. That's what it's called. It's very dark brown/red. I love it. And I cut my hair as well. It turned out nice. Just trimmed it. Angled it a little in the front. So, yeah. It looks alright.
I went to Roast & Toast afterwards. No one was there. So I walked around town a bit. Saw Dannon and Josh sleeping at a picnic table in the park. I went over there and talked with them for a bit. Then we made our way back over to Roast & Toast. Sat in the parking lot talking for a while. Then went inside. Saw Christina and her new boyfriend, Greg. He's nice. Leif was playing. With Rory. It was techno-ish type rap. It was cool, but definitely not my style. So I said I was going outside for a bit. Josh and Dannon followed. We hung out on the balcony at Toast for awhile. Josh put flowers on my bag. It looked awesome! But they all fell off.
Megan and Andrew got there after a bit. We all hung out at Toast for a little while more. I told Josh and Dannon I'd give them a ride home at 9:30. I was talking with Megan at her car when Josh says, "Hey beautiful, open your car! Damn!" It was funny. Dannon called shotgun immediately. Of course he did. He's Dannon :-)
Megan, Andrew, Jim and I went over to Josh Clay's after that. A lot of people were there. It was fun. They were all so freaking hilarious.
Andrew and Megan spent the night last night.
I had a good day today.
Spent some time reading outside. Megan's over now :-) *Hi Megs!* I think I'll end this here and now. It's too long as it is. I PROMISE I will write again in a bit. I PROMISE :-)
