"My daddy beats my mommy My mommy clubbers me My grand'pa is a commie My grand'ma pushes tea My sisters wears a moustache My brother wears a dress Goodness gracious, that's why I'm a mess"
-Riff, from West Side Story
We're watching West Side Story in Public Speaking class now. It is brilliant, and funny, and brilliantly funny.
I've begun a good playlist. Much of it is songs Sam's sent me, so its becomming sort of a collaborative project. It goes: "Sweet Jane" by the Velvet Underground, "Such Great Heights" by Iron and Wine, "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes, "For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her" by Simon and Garfunkel, "Sometimes" by My Bloody Valentine, "New Slang" by The Shins, "Sweet Marie" by The Anniversary, and "Birdland" by Patti Smith, "I Want You" by Bob Dylan, "Say Yes" by Elliott Smith, and "El Repo y El Clavo" by The Plugz. In no particular order... yet. Essentially its folk, indie, a bit of experimental. Comment on a song you like, or just something that might be fitting, I could use some input. Some Radiohead might be fitting. I decided that they need more happy songs.
I leave friday for San Jose por me visitar a mi hermano.
I had my job interview at Joann today.
It's late and I'm tired.
