Went to the movies again today -- matinee this time. Had an even worse experience. I wasn't going to go, because my dad and sister were going to see Avatar and I honestly had zero interest in seeing it, but they bugged me about it so, whatever. I propose the death penalty for cinema talkers. SO.BLOODY.ANNOYING!

Seconded! I feel like, as with many things, people pretty much feel that by purchasing their (overpriced) ticket, they can do whatever the hell the want during the movie (including knocking over my (overpriced) popcorn!).

I did finally have a positive experience last Friday -- in a crowd rather wholly comprised of the 55+ crowd at 2pm. ;D

I followed your hot Josh Charles icon here, is it ok if I use as long as I credit? and wanted to tell you, you are not alone I went with my sister to see Avatar & the people behind us were texting the entire movie w/ all of their phone sounds on and every two minutes they would pull out the most random smelly food (family size bbq chips, a thing of what I think was orange chicken from Panda and the kicker a huge cup of miso soup all good foods just not smells I want in the theater they had like a freakin banquet!

Damn, and I usually worry about sneaking in a soda and maybe some candy to munch on! ;)
