2/2

Went to the movies again today -- matinee this time. Had an even worse experience. I wasn't going to go, because my dad and sister were going to see Avatar and I honestly had zero interest in seeing it, but they bugged me about it so, whatever. The entire first half of the movie, there's these 3 kids -- constantly checking their phone and texting, talking, going back and forth to show each other texts, and, ultimately, TAKING SEVERAL CALLS DURING THE FUCKING MOVIE.

Step 1: Glare at them in the hopes that they will feel the daggers I was shooting their way.
Step 2: I actually shushed them.
Step 3: After the chick takes call number 2 or 3, I lean over and say, "Can you please turn your phone off?" Of course, she doesn't acknowledge me, because she's talking on the phone.
Step 4: Really fucking pissed, I left and found an usher, who, ironically, addressed two people in our row who had been talking earlier (but at least had the decency to acknowledge it, apologize and tell us they'll stop talking).

I figured I'd go to the bathroom while I was out. Thankfully, they pretty much stopped most of their obnoxiousness. It's just fucking unbelievable, the things people do. Like they honestly don't give a shit about anyone else because they bought their ticket and feel they can do whatever they want. If you're not into the movie and you want to take your fucking calls, leave. I wasn't into it, but I didn't sit there texting the entire time (I might've been more into it if I wasn't so pissed off, tbh). I was kind of expecting a confrontation of sorts after the movie, but they just left.

I think I need to go to the movies at like 10am or something.

(And James Cameron needs to learn how to cut his movies down to a more reasonable length.)

I'm apparently never going to post standard entries anymore, just diatribes of complete and utter annoyance at the end of the day. ;)
