Genre of a song. Can you help me out - what sort of things are you expecting in this? Music type like Rock, Jazz, Rap? Or song content like Love Song, Ballad, etc? Or something else?

Hm. Can you tell me a little more about what you're thinking for We Know the Way, please? I'm feeling a bit dubious about whether the "music video" can actually be separated from the movie.

If you slice off the first few seconds and the last few seconds, none of the actual characters from the movie are in the video (which is why I thought it was okay). There is a story in the video that is different than the song (sort of) of the passing of the role of wayfinder from one generation to the next. (The guy in the red hat leads the journey in the first part and at the very end of the song, he passes the role on to another, younger man.)

I think the song stands alone from the movie - fitting in the broad genre of "world rock" or "fusion". I think it explores idea of identity and adventure, and also the importance of passing traditions from one generation to the next . I think there are lots of directions a story could go that would not have anything to do with the movie.

Is that what you are looking for?

Yeah, I'm a lot more comfortable with the song than the video. (Honestly if you'd just nominated that, I wouldn't bat an eye - and I will probably approve the song - but you nominating both together causes me to want to check with you.) I'm still thinking over the video. I don't think I can agree that none of the characters from the movie are in the music video. They are not named characters, but they are movie characters who have a specific context in the movie
