Hah.
So what started as an innocent enough conversation with me mocking my two interns -- who are maybe 22, 23 years old -- about watching the new Twilight saga movie or whatever ended up with the discovery that one of my intern's friend hooked up with ASkars last month. Seriously.
I knew he came to visit his dad last month -- Stellan is/was shooting a movie in Rio -- , but today I learned that a good friend of one of my interns hooked up with him -- or whatever kids are calling it these days -- while he was here (she says they even went on a date and everything) and OK, this is incredibly surreal, I feel like now I can officially play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with ASkars. How fucking crazy is that?
It's actually ridiculous how we came to talk about this. As I said, I was mocking both my interns for their plans to watch the Twilight movie, and said, jokingly, that at their age, I accepted them watching True Blood, tops. Turns out one of them does (not the one with the lucky friend), and it seems that she has a big crush on Eric. So I obligingly told her that she should watch Generation Kill (like I need an excuse to tell people to watch it, but hey, I'm not one to miss an opportunity!), and that's when the other intern tells her story.
Funny thing? We're talking about Eric, and she turns to me and ask, "oh, do you know the actor's name?", and then I ponder whether I should tell her his name, surname, nationality, filiation, age etc., or if I should stick with a yes. I mean, I didn't want to scare the poor girl.
ANYway. Totally surreal. Heh.
