So this week became a lot more tragic than we originally thought it would be.
It started raining in Rio on Monday afternoon, and it's rained nonstop for a couple of days. The weather still sucks, and we still have intermittent rain and winds, but the quantity of water that fell this whole week was enough to cause several mud slides. As a consequence, more than 170 people have died in the state, 100 of them in Niteroi, where I live. Yesterday at night the biggest mud avalanche yet occurred, and it's predicted that over 200 people have died in it. In 436 years of existence, Niteroi declared "state of public calamity" for the first time.
In conclusion, the world totally sucks at the moment. D:
