I just got this e-mail from Arleta, our Customer Relations Analyst:
Hi Juliana,
I wanted to catch you before you leave us. I know I haven't seen much of you since your department has moved to the 3rd floor. I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to work with you. You were always smiling every time I saw you. You take good care of yourself and I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
Reading it made me tear up. Who knows how nice people will be in my new Boston job? I'm excited I only have nine work days left, but it's scary, too.
I had my 2004 Sonata appraised at CarMax over the weekend, and they're only offering me $1200. I'm fairly sure I could get more on Craigslist, but it seems like more of a hassle than I need right now. I've also started cleaning my apartment in anticipation of packing -- anything to put it off a while longer. Ugh, cardboard boxes.
Meme time!

Day 10. A song that makes you fall asleep.
We're talking soothing, not boring, right?
Sometime in college an independent music company sent me a mail-order catalogue. I hadn't heard of 95% of the albums/bands featured, but I thought it would be fun to pick something based on the description alone. So I chose "Rabbit Songs," a CD by a band called Hem. It soon became one of my favorite albums -- the music is lush, the singer's voice is gorgeous, and the lyrics are perfect. I think "When I Was Drinking" is pretty representative of the album, but "Half Acre" is the single (I think it's been in a commercial, so you may have heard it).
